Adult care pads are hygiene products used to care for adults, made of materials such as PE film, non-woven fabric, fluff pulp, and polymers. They are suitable for daily use by postoperative patients, paralyzed patients, and those who cannot take care of themselves in hospitals. With the acceleration of our pace of life, the demand for nursing pads is constantly expanding. Bedridden mothers, elderly people, women during menstruation, and even long-distance travelers all use nursing pads. So are nursing pads and postpartum pads the same thing? Let me introduce it to you below.
In fact, nursing pads and postpartum pads are two different products, and due to their similar functions, they are often misunderstood as the same thing. Although they all have nursing functions, there are still differences in their applicable populations and specific uses. Postpartum cushion is a type of medical care cushion, which can be divided into three categories: infant care cushion, maternal care cushion, and adult care cushion. Postpartum cushion is a type of maternal care cushion.
Postpartum pads are mainly used for postpartum women. Within the second half of delivery, there will be a large amount of lochia (referring to the tissue containing blood and necrotic decidua that falls off with the uterine decidua after childbirth) excreted. A specialized postpartum care pad, also known as a postpartum pad, is needed until the postpartum bleeding and lochia are completely eliminated, which takes about 4 to 6 weeks.
Although adult care pads can also be used for postpartum women, they are not as suitable as postpartum pads because care pads are mainly designed for people who cannot take care of themselves after surgery or paralysis, and their needs are different from those of postpartum women.
